Mbango in Kiswahili, the widely spoken language of East Africa, means Warthog!

Mbango Safaris was started by Peter and Caroline after almost a decade of working in some of the wildest and remotest parts of the African bush as safari guides, research field assistants and conservationists. During this time and throughout all the time we have had the great fortune to indulge our passion for nature – birds, wildlife and natural history.

Our simple objective it to share, experience and enjoy the birdlife, wildlife, and natural wonders of East Africa with our clients which we have protected and still helping to protect for future generations.

We aim to bring you inspiring holidays in superb locations in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda and the Indian Ocean. For years we have been arranging holidays for our clients, who have chosen one of our safaris, a birding safari, a scenic safari, a wildlife safari, a migration safari, family safari or a honeymoon holiday on some of the most incredible beaches of East Africa.

Above all, Mbango Safaris is environmental responsible safari company, that means we are focused on the natural environment and our clients. We continually inspect hotels, camps and test itineraries in order to improve some aspect or another.

We enjoy innovating and bringing you new options, new hotels or lodges or new itineraries as new routes open up more of East Africa and present many options within our programmes, which work well for the majority. However, you may want to create your own itinerary, either tweaking some of the details of our existing programmes, or starting from scratch with a blank sheet of paper. The world is your oyster, and we will do our utmost with any requests you have.
