Seasonal
variations in East Africa are caused by rainfall rather than changes
in temperature with most parts of East Africa receiving
two rainy seasons.
The
bargain wildlife safaris falls during the rainy season
- it doesn't rain all the time, you can still have a
very enjoyable safari and if you don't enjoy hot weather,
this maybe the best time for you.
Additionally, it is the time when many of the birds are in breeding plumage following
the long rains, which makes species such as weavers, whydahs and widowbirds
much easier to identify as
well as much more colourful. It is also the best time of year for big game
and accomondation rates are
lower and you will get exactly
what you want.
