Life
on the East Africa coast is lived at its own relaxed
pace. The sun soaked beaches and warm inviting waters
of the Indian Ocean are a haven of peace and tranquility.
Lay back, relax and the rest of the world drift
away.
Explore
the Old town of Mombasa or climb the battlements of
Fort Jesus, discover the lost of Gedi or trace the journey
of Vasco Da Gama to Malindi. Visit the island of Lamu
and Zanzibar and enter a unique world unchanged by modern
history.
Even
at the coast, birds and wildlife is never far away.
Arabuko Sokoke forest and Jadini offer wilderness within reach of the beach.
Trek through this forests and discover a world of birds.
butterflies,
rare monkeys and elusive elephant herds. The
nearby parks and reserves of
Tsavo, Shimba Hills and Mwalugaje can provide the classic
safari experience just few hours from the coast and
the
beaches are fringed with expanses of coral reef, creating
an underwater world of wonders.
The shallow coral gardens overhang with shoals of angel fish, tang and barracuda
and huge moral eels making it ideal for snorkeling
or glass bottom boats, and spectacular outer reef dives
for scuba enthusiasts. There
is also excellent cave diving at Mida Creek which promises
close encounters with giant rock cod. Our coral reefs
are visited by sea turtles, manta rays and the most
gentle ocean giant of all, the Whale shark.
