Itinerary.

Day 1:
Upon arrival in Nairobi we are going to meet you at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and transfer you to Fairview Hotel at the outskirts of the city. Overnight at Fairview hotel, Nairobi. Bed and breakfast.

Days 2 & 3:
After an early breakfast we depart for Amboseli National Park stopping on the way to stretch and shop if need be arriving at Oltukai Lodge in time for lunch.

Early afternoon will be spent at leisure till mid afternoon when we do our first game drive in search of the big cats as well as the herbivores to be back at the lodge just before it gets dark.

Lunch, dinner and overnight at Oltukai Lodge.

Days 4 & 5:
Early breakfast and then leave Amboseli for Sangare Conservancy at the foothills of the Aberdares National Park stopping at Nairobi for lunch. After lunch we drive through the Kikuyu land arriving at our tented camp early afternoon. The rest of the afternoon will be spent at leisure.

Spend the days watching wildlife leaving the camp with our packed breakfast to be back for lunch and then venturing out again in the afternoon to be back to the camp just before it gets dark.

Dinner and two overnights at Sangare Tented Camp.

Days 6 & 7:
After breakfast we leave for Shaba / Samburu National Reserve which is known for its rare northern hemisphere wildlife such as Grevy’s zebra and Reticulated Giraffe and birds species. Wildlife watching on the way to the lodge and stopping when we spot anything special arriving at our lodge in time for lunch.

Spend the days watching wildlife leaving the lodgewith our packed breakfast to be back for lunch and then venturing out again in the afternoon to be back to the lodge just before it gets dark.

Afternoon game viewing drive till late in the afternoon to be back to the lodge just before the night falls, dinner and two overnights at Sarova Shaba Lodge.

Days 8 & 9:
After breakfast we leave for the world renowned Lake Nakuru National Park arriving there in time for lunch. Lake Nakuru National Park is world famous for its population of flamingo’s and both Black and White Rhinoceros where we are going to spend the next two days looking for the different wildlife species found here including the endangered Black Rhinoceros and the elusive Leopard.

We are going to spend the days watching wildlife leaving the lodge with our packed breakfast to be back for lunch and then venturing out again in the afternoon to be back to the lodge just before it gets dark.

Lunch, dinner and two overnights at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge.


Days 10 & 11:
Early rise followed by and early breakfast and then we leave for the world famous Masai Mara National Reserve arriving there in time for a late lunch. Spend the afternoon game watching at the plains of the world famous Masai Mara. All meals at Ilkeliani Tented Camp which is located at the heart of the Masai Mara where there are good chances of seeing the big cats and the annual gnus and zebras migration.

Spend the days watching wildlife leaving the camp with our packed breakfast to be back for lunch and then venturing out again in the afternoon to be back to the camp just before it gets dark. 

Lunch, dinner and overnight at Ilkeliani Tented Camp.

Day 12.
Early morning game drives to be back at the camp for breakfast. After breakfast depart for Nairobi arriving Nairobi early afternoon. Check in your hotel to freshen up before departing to the famous Carnivore restaurant for dinner and then leave for the airport to catch your outbound flight home.
 

Weather.
During our tour we can expect most days to be dry and fairly sunny, temperatures ranging from 20- 30oC, depending on altitude. Overcast weather, particularly in the afternoons, may not be infrequent, but rain is unlikely except on high ground such as Lake Nakuru, where afternoon precipitation is a possibility. Here the weather can be chilly between sunset and sunrise.

Grading.
This tour is ideal for a couple, honeymooners or family and it has mind blowing views, wildlife, big cats, privacy and intimacy, set amidst a vast expanse of wilderness.

Food & accommodation included in the price.
All meals and accommodation are included throughout this holiday as indicated in the itinerary with the exception of dinner on the first day and lunch on the last day. 

Entry requirements.
Certain nationals do require visas in order to enter Kenya although there are no visa requirements for citizens of the Republic of Ireland and Commonwealth countries. Citizens of the following countries are obliged to carry visas: Antigua, Bermuda, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Guyana, India, South Africa (for visitors staying more than 30 days), Sri Lanka, San Marino, Turkey, United Kingdom and Uruguay. You can complete and print a Visa application form online from www.kenya.visahq.com Visas can be readily obtained at JKIA and Moi International airports on arrival as well as from Kenya High Commissions abroad prior to departure. There is a fee to process a visa, usually between US $ 20 - US $ 100 depending on the category required.
