:: SAFARI GUIDES.

We firmly believe that the guides are the single most important factor in the success of a tour. Many qualities are essential in good guides.

Firstly, they need to be professional in their approach and regard tour guiding as a job to be carried out well. They need always to put the tour members needs and interests before their own, and we believe this is the approach taken by our professional guides.

Secondly, they need to be warm, friendly people who enjoy traveling with others, taking care of their needs when necessary and sharing enthusiasm for birds, wildlife and natural world with the tour members. A sense of humor is essential so as to engender the right atmosphere into the tour, and also a more than average level of patience so as to enable to deal calmly with any problems should they occur.

Thirdly, they need to be extremely competent ornithologists and naturalists with a sound knowledge of the areas being visited, and wealth prior field experience in the areas toured. We are proud of the levels of experience possessed by our guides, many of whom have spent many years in the areas visited either working as game rangers or doing research or regulary guiding tours.

Finally, they need to be well organized people, who pay attention to details and able to take care of the logistics in such a way that the tour participants are unaware of the work going on 'behind the scenes' leaving participants free to enjoy a hassle-free holiday.

All Mbango Safaris guides are highly trained, certified and hold a certificate in the National Museum and Nature Kenya Fundamentals of Ornithology. All our guides are also full members of the Kenya Professional Safari Guides Association (K.P.S.G.A) and hold either Bronze, Silver or Gold qualifications. They are licenced as professional safari guides by the Ministry of Tourism and are also members of Kenya Bird Guides Association.

We remain convinced that the professionalism, personality and guiding experience of our safari guides will ensure a smooth running, photography, wildlife, nature and ornithologically unbeatable and above all an extremely enjoyable safari.

Mbango Safaris is
also staffed by birds, wildlife and nature enthusiasts and dedicatetravel professionals who are passionate about organising outstanding, competitively-priced and environmental responsible tours.

Here below are profiles of safari guides that accompany you on your tour. All our guides are expert naturalists and ornithologists. They will be able to show you, and help you to identify, and photograph many of the birds, plants and mammals that occur in the region that you are visiting. Please note however, that whilst we assign guides to particular tours well in advance, we reserve the right to make changes if necessary.
