Nicholas Wanjohi is a naturalist by choice and holds a diploma in Ornithology from the Ornithology Department - National Museums of Kenya.

A licenced safari guide by Ministry of Tourism, trained professional safari guide, a member and bronze holder of Kenya Professional Safari Guides Association, he speaks fluent mother tongue, Kiswahili, English and French.

His birding enthusiasm and fundamental knowledge in natural history was triggered by Nature Kenya walks where he has been assisting in organizing and leading the nature walks. Nicholas had also been a docent guide at the Natural History Museum of Kenya, and this was a major boost and a great exposure to him tapping the crucial knowledge and obtaining the necessary and vital guiding skills.

He has traveled widely in search of spectacular wildlife and little-known birds. Although he has a particular passion for birds, Nicholas is a very keen and enthusiastic all-round naturalist and an extremely popular guide who does all he can to make the tours he guides as informative as possible and, at the same time, great fun!
